The induction ceremony for the new batch of PGDM BA candidates at MDI was a resounding success! The event began with the traditional lighting of the Lamp by the Director, Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, Dean-Industry Connect, Chairperson-PGFM-BA, and esteemed guests.
Prof. Priyanka Vallabh Chairperson, PGDM-BA set the stage by outlining the innovative and diverse pedagogical tools and coursework that lie ahead, providing a comprehensive and inspiring roadmap for the academic journey, emphasizing the unique approach that MDI is renowned for.
Dean Industry Connect, Prof. Sumita Rai, highlighted our program legacy and rich alumni network. She stressed the significance of balancing the three critical stakeholders in the candidates’ lives encouraging the candidates to embrace the student mindset once again, which is crucial for effective learning and personal growth.
Dr. Arvind Sahay, Our Director emphasized the value of unlearning and relearning. He urged candidates to enjoy the learning process by applying classroom lessons to real-world office scenarios, enhancing their understanding and fostering a deeper connection between academic concepts and professional practice.
We were honored to have Mr. Shri. Naresh Salecha, IRAS, Member (Technical), Hon’ble Member (Technical) of National Company Law Appellate Tribunal., as our Chief Guest. He shared invaluable insights on using management as a tool for societal value creation. Discussing the evolving nature of management practices and stressed the importance of developing leadership skills and learning from peers highlighting the broader societal impact of effective management.
Our keynote speaker, Mr. Soarabh Pathak, Vice President of Corporate Planning at Maruti Suzuki, provided an enlightening perspective on efficient time management and the innovative use of technology emphasizing on understanding and serving customers through technology which is more crucial than just learning the technology itself.
This induction ceremony marked the beginning of an exciting journey for our new candidates. We are enthusiastic about their potential and look forward to witnessing their growth, learning, and contributions to the esteemed legacy of MDI Gurgaon.
