On February 21, 2024, MDI Gurgaon proudly unveiled the Brandscapes MDI Centre for Behavioral Science & Neuro Lab, a unique addition to its campus facilities. The occasion was graced by the presence of our Director, Prof. Arvind Sahay, Shri Rajnish Kumar (Chairman, Board of Governors, MDI), Shri Pranesh Misra (Chairman & Managing Director, Brandscapes), along with our distinguished faculty members and media representatives.
The proceedings commenced with a warm welcome speech from our Director, Prof. Arvind Sahay, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to Shri Pranesh Misra and the entire team for their relentless support towards this ground-breaking initiative, signifying a leap forward in Indian management research and education. He shed light upon the purpose of the state-of-the-art Lab is ‘to advance research in behavioural science’. Prof. Sahay articulated, "We are dedicated to raising the bar in research and teaching, and initiatives like this are pivotal in driving our ambitions forward." He expressed optimism for future collaborations with Brandscapes, envisioning further projects with diverse agendas. Taking the podium next was Shri Pranesh Misra, Chairman of Brandscapes and an industry stalwart, who remarked, “MDI, as a premier institute looking to create new frontiers in knowledge, embodies an ethos that mirrors Brandscapes’ essence. A deep-rooted desire to understand the human brain and behaviour led to the origin of Neuroscience in the 1980s. Today, in 2024, we possess newer and better technologies to delve deeper into the human mind and psychology. Our Centre stands as a testament to such endeavours.” Following Shri Rajnish Kumar's uplifting address where he emphasised the importance of intellectual capital creation for academic institutions, the attendees proceeded to the inaugural venue where the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Lab was done by the eminent Chief Guests. This was succeeded by demonstration of lab by Mr. Yash Chakarvarty, Research Manager.
The event concluded with a media interaction session and a delightful high-tea in the open lawns of the Director’s residence. MDI Gurgaon extends its gratitude to all esteemed dignitaries for gracing the occasion. As a B-School, we are excited to embark on this transformative journey, where curiosity meets discovery, and where the understanding of behaviour is redefined.
