Profile

Vinod Thakur has a PhD in Strategy from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. Apart from academia, he has over nine years of corporate experience spanning India, the Middle East, and Africa. He has been associated with firms such as KPMG, EY, Protiviti, and Genpact, assisting clients through various consulting assignments in business risk management, strategic transformation, and process efficiency.

His research articles have been published in reputed peer-reviewed international journals. He has collaborated with several companies across various industries to write case studies, which have been published in reputed publications such as Ivey and Sage.

Vinod has a keen interest in researching family businesses. He frequently interacts with family businesses and family business advisors worldwide to enhance his understanding of the complexities related to family businesses. Vinod holds a Certificate in Family Business Advising (CFBA) and an Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising (ACFBA) from Family Business Institute (FFI), which is the world’s leading network for advisors, consultants, educators, and researchers to perpetuate multigenerational family businesses.
 

He teaches courses on Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, and Family Business Management.
