Dr. Pragati Priya has a Ph.D. in Economics from Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. She specializes in the fields of Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, Financial Economics, and Household Finance. She completed her Master’s degree in Financial Economics from University of Hyderabad and Bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Delhi. She has also published in several reputed journals such as Energy Economics, Economic Modelling, International Journal of Managerial Finance, Applied Economics, etc. While her primary research area lies in the intricate mechanisms of monetary policy transmission, she has actively pursued research projects on diverse topics, including the impact of corruption on firm performance and innovation, inequality of opportunity, energy prices, and macro-finance. She has presented her research at numerous prestigious international and national conferences, engaging with distinguished scholars in her field.
Prior to joining MDI, she had worked as an Assistant Professor of Economics at T. A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal. Over there, she has taught courses such as Microeconomics and Seminar Courses at IPM and Doctoral levels.
