Profile
Prof Sangeeta is Professor in Information Management Area in MDI Gurgaon. She is former Acting Director Management Development Institute Gurgaon. She has held positions as Dean Graduate Programs, Dean Executive Graduate Programs, Dean Administration, Accreditation and Compliance. She is M.SC (Maths), M.M.S. (Master of Management Studies), M.E.(Systems and Information) and Ph.D. from BITS, Pilani. She has more than 3 decades of experience in teaching, research and administration. She has 6 years of corporate experience.
She believes in execution excellence and her fundamental leadership mantra is that an idea is only as good as its execution. With this approach she has successfully completed many projects in MDI Gurgaon including implementation of Oracle PeopleSoft ERP. As Dean Graduate programs and Dean Accreditation, Quality Compliance (former), she has worked for AACSB , AMBA, and EQUIS Accreditation. She has also worked for NBA Accreditation and getting Ph. D. Equivalence for FPM program from AIU. She has been working towards making MDI a sustainable campus and the quest continues.
With a rich academic background spanning mathematics, management studies, and engineering, she possesses a unique blend of technical prowess and strategic insight. Prof. Sangeeta has the ability to simply the concepts of transformative power of digital technologies including AI, ML, and data analytics and its applications in business. She also teaches Agile Project Management and Business Development in IT Industry.
She has done consultancy for organization where she has helped them with IT Roadmap and Detail Project Feasibility Report of implementing ERP and implementing IT transformation Project. She has also worked extensively with BPO companies where she identified the training needs of middle level BPO managers, developed and delivered training programs for large BPO companies.
She has researched extensively in the area of IT Outsourcing / BPO, emerging technologies and knowledge management. Her case study titled "Could Work-From-Home Policies Impact Employee Morale?" was published in the April 2015 issue of Harvard Business Review, predating the widespread adoption of remote work practices. She has more than 50 research publications in international and national (EJIS¸ BPMJ¸ Vikalpa etc.) journals.
She teaches courses in AI Intelligence and Machine Learning with the objective to prepare students to provide AI leadership in organizations.
She also teaches Business Development in IT and Agile Project Management to prepare the students to take up challenging consulting assignments in IT organization for the client
Another area of her teaching interest is Digital HR where students are taught about the technologies in HR function and how the technology is changing the face of HR function from ERP driven HRIS to data driven and AI driven Digital HR.
