MDI's Advanced Management Programme (AMP) was launched in 1996 to
prepare Top Managers of Indian Organisations, for the rapidly-changing
Business World of tomorrow. The focus is on examining strategic
issues - both functional as well as cross-functional - that leaders need to
deal with in their quest for creating successful, globalised organisations.
The AMP aims at providing a rare opportunity for top managers to reflect,
introspect and examine the objectives and strategies that are critical to
their organisations.
The AMP is a four-week program, of which the first two weeks are
conducted at the MDI campus, and the next two weeks are held at
leading International Business Schools in Europe. In the first two weeks,
participants are provided with key inputs on the latest developments in
major functional areas, cross-functional areas, strategic management etc.
These sessions are conducted by experienced MDI faculty and are further
enriched by guest faculty comprising of CEOs, policy makers, senior
bureaucrats, and other well-known experts and practitioners.
The two-week Overseas Learning Program (OLP) is designed to help
participants acquire international perspectives, and understand
best practices and cross cultural issues in managing globalised
businesses. As part of this OLP, the participants usually visit
leading Business Schools in Europe, such as ESCP EAP European School
of Management, Paris, and the Vienna University of Economics
and Business Administration
