National HRD Network is an association of professionals committed to promoting the HRD movement in the country. It is not for profit organization registered under Registration of Society Act 1860, and Bombay Public Trust Act 1950, and is dedicated to develop human resources through education, training, research and experience sharing.
The underlying philosophy of the Network is that every human being has the potential to do remarkable things. The HRD movement was started with a purpose to help the organizations and the individuals optimize human resources. The network strives to bring together various professional bodies in the country to avoid duplication of work in the field, and provide a variety of activities to professionals.
The major objectives are:-
Help to stimulate positive forces for humanizing systems and organization and enable people contribute their best;
Disseminate HRD knowledge and skills among HRD practitioners;
Build a rigorous scientific store-house of knowledge and skills for HRD;
Break a new ground for the HRD movement;
Develop and maintain standards of professional excellence in HRD; and
Act as a clearing house for all referral related to HRD activities in the country.
NHRD Activities:
The NHRD network brings together various professional bodies in the country to avoid duplication of work in the field, and to provide a variety of activities to professionals. It regularly holds conferences, talks on contemporary HR issues, discussions and other special events at regional as well as national levels.
It also publishes a monthly HRD Newsletter and reports of research on HRD; conducts Annual Conference to share experience and present new concepts on HRD and seminars and workshops on various subjects.
